With so many prime pieces on display, the current exhibition at Zurich’s Museum of Design is comparable to a greatest hits album. “Every Thing Design” is the first show featuring material from all four of the museum’s collections, which include posters, design, applied art and graphics.

More than 70 shops and ateliers will join forces this weekend to host the third annual “Kreislauf 4+5” – a major Zurich fashion and design event. The two-day open-house is a chance to discover the rich array of independent designers and boutiques based in neighbourhoods along Zurich’s Langstrasse.

The "Witzerland" show features dozens of political cartoons.
Punctual, reserved, serious, trustworthy, fussy, polite, tidy . . . There are a lot of adjectives that spring to mind when describing the Swiss. “Funny” is seldom among them. Nevertheless, a new exhibition at the Swiss National Museum strives to show the lighter side of the Helvetians.
