This year, Swiss artist Hans Erni is 100 years old. To celebrate, the Museum of Art Lucerne is hosting a retrospective – the first major Erni show in nearly 40 years. The exhibition features a mix of favorites and lesser-known works in a variety of media. Both popular and controversial, Erni is one of Switzerland’s best-known artists.

With so many prime pieces on display, the current exhibition at Zurich’s Museum of Design is comparable to a greatest hits album. “Every Thing Design” is the first show featuring material from all four of the museum’s collections, which include posters, design, applied art and graphics.

More than 70 shops and ateliers will join forces this weekend to host the third annual “Kreislauf 4+5” – a major Zurich fashion and design event. The two-day open-house is a chance to discover the rich array of independent designers and boutiques based in neighbourhoods along Zurich’s Langstrasse.
